A custom hat begins with conversation. This inquiry form helps us understand your interests, preferences, and intent so we can guide you toward the right fit, materials, and style.
Every hat we make is shaped by hand, built around your individual head shape, and finished with purpose. While this form is a helpful first step, an in-person fitting is required to complete the process properly.

From Style to Fit
Once a general style direction is chosen, the most important part of the process begins: fit.
A great hat isn’t just the right size — it’s the right shape.
How We Measure & Fit Your Hat
1. Precision Sweatband Measurement
The inside measurement of the sweatband is taken with care and accuracy, measured down to 1/8 of an inch. This ensures comfort and long-term wear, not just a “close enough” fit.
2. Head Shape Mapping
Using an architect’s ruler, the exact shape of your head is traced and recorded. This captures what a standard hat size never can — the subtle differences that affect how a hat sits and feels.
3. Shape Transfer
That measurement is transferred onto paper, creating a physical reference that represents your head shape.
4. Block Creation (Behind the Scenes)
Your unique shape is transformed into a custom head block, which becomes the foundation for the entire hat-making process. Every step from this point forward is built around that block. Click here to learn more about the hat making process.
5. Final Fitting & Brim Shaping
When your hat is finished, you’ll return for the final fitting. This is where the brim is shaped and refined to your face, by Jack himself — ensuring balance, proportion, and personal character. This is where the hat becomes yours.

Every hat we build starts with the material. That choice affects the feel, finish, and ultimately the price of the hat.

Pure Beaver — starting at $775
50/50 Blend — starting at $665
European Hare — starting at $525
Dress Weight (100% Pure Beaver) — starting at $650
Custom hats vary in price depending on the color, hatband, and added details such as bound edges.
